History
Co-founders William Horner and Steve Williams developed a unique compostable plant-based PLA packaging to market dairy products for Naturally Iowa, Inc. We sought to develop consumer awareness and loyalty for our health products in combination with the environmentally sensitive packaging. After three years of operation it became clear that it would not be possible to generate the volume of dairy sales required to earn necessary profits. By 2008, the dairy concept had been exchanged for Green Bottle Spring Water. By the summer of 2008, Naturally Iowa’s Green Bottle Spring Water was selected as the exclusive bottled water for the United States Capital Building.
In 2010, with Green Bottle Spring Water as a product line, newly restructured Naturally Iowa, Inc. announced the purchase and merger with Totally Green, LLC. The acquisition underscores a new approach to the ever-growing challenge posed by food waste and plastic bottles in landfills nationwide.
